CD Reviews

Well...the best of the best.

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Finally, I have this double cd on my hands!.. I'm one of those fans who have to have everything and this compilation wouldn't be the exception. The value of the CD is more symbolic, and it's a collectible item so, if you're a Carcass die-hard fan you'll surely appreciate this. Detailed track list and description on Editorial Reviews. The booklet presents lyrics (Japanese and English) and history of the band (sorry, only in Japanese). It also has only a couple of photos("Wake up..." has lots more). The first album is a compilation, sort of "Best of...", from all Carcass albums. The second is the CD with "rarities". If you have all Carcass albums, from "Reek of putrefaction" up to "Wake up..." you won't find anything new here. What it's new and WON'T find anywhere else, are five old-live recordings, from two different eras. "Corporeal Jigsore quandary", "Incarnated solvent abuse" and "Exhume to consume", and "carnal forge" and "Heartwork". These last two taken from a show in Japan. The old live recordings sound much better than the new ones (they could sound much better, maybe these recordings weren`t supposed to appear on an album)...Anyway. This double CD rules!!!Only for fans!!!It will make you feel a special one.ps: None of the two Peel sessions are featured here..."
