all the spice from this great vocalist. The material on this CD was all recorded between '69 & '72 and the first eight tunes were all singles and released during those years with two back in '69 produced by the late great Donny Hathaway. Two wallops follow from the historic Wattstax release and three from her LP Boy Meets Girl roundout this set of saucy Soul. Of the last three tunes, two are duets with Pervis Staples and one is with Johnny Taylor and are pure joy. This CD is highly recommended to not only her fans, but also to those newcomers just discovering this great artist and her music... But most of all that voice!
