Master of form and style

From the neo-classical Concerto for Oboe to the romantic Aubade, Franzetti demonstrates his ability to capture each instrument's strengths and showcase them to great effect. The Variations for Brass is a monumental work, a virtuosic tour-de-force breathtaking performed by the Millar Brass. Carlos Franzetti is a composer to watch for in the future."

"Images Before Dawn is a collection of several works by Carlos Franzetti.The CD includes the beautiful,pensive Concertino for Bass Trombone and chamber orchestra,with David Taylor playing the solo part.A lovely work."

Aubade: short but wonderfully romantic orchestral piece.

"Franzetti's Aubade (on this CD) is a particularly beautiful, haunting symphonic work. Very romantic central theme is developed slowly. Captivating, unique work - you cannot forget it. Once heard, you will want to buy it, if you can find the CD (released 1998 but scarce)."
