A Perfect Marriage of Tango and Ballet

"Carlos Franzetti combines perfectly the sensuality and modern beauty of tango with the discipline and classical beauty of ballet in his original score, "Tango Fatal." One particularly striking example of this is "El Zahir," composed in 5/4 time - unique for this genre. The surprise of this disc is Franzetti's own vocals in "Mostrador," for which he also wrote the lyrics. Franzetti is truly one of the treasures of the late 20th and early 21st centuries in that he composes and arranges with equal ease and expertise in all musical areas. For anyone who likes tango or, for that matter, great music, buy this CD."
