"Miss Carol Sloane was obviously under the influence of Ella Fitzgerald during this highly enjoyable session, though at times Sloane's own personality shines through. Sloane is a jazz(or at least a jazz influenced) singer, who is still great and active today. This early 60's session for Columbia is a great introduction to Miss Sloane's wonderful talents. Here she is featured with some wondeful jazz musicians singing jazz standards. an excellent and enjoyable CD reissue"
She's fantastic-so easy to listen to over and over

"Carol is the female Mel Torme - velvety voice, great phrasing and wonderful interpertation of every song on Out of the Blue."
