I listened to this on vinyl when I was young and absolutely loved it! Now, as a 45 year old, I find the infatuation continues. It is easy to escape into the world of Rosie and her friends as they imaginitively fill the hours of their days on Avenue B in NY City. I would not recommend it for young kids, necessarily, as there are a couple of darker moments; for instance, The Ballad of Chicken Soup is about him choking on a chicken bone in a bowl of soup. However, the music on the album is contagious and thoughtful... but maybe I am still carrying my childhood bias!
