"Not sure why it is not listed as such but wanted to confirm that this $6.99 Elektra release of Candy-O is HDCD Remastered and sounds fantastic. The Cars and Panorama also received the same quality HDCD remaster and sound great as well. Unfortunately the Elektra $6.99 Shake It Up and Heartbeat City releases did not receive this remastering and the difference shows, especially on SIU."

"the cars released candy o in 1979.candy o was the cars second album and is every bit as strong as the debut album from 1978.on candy o ,the cars continued the same great musical sound formula as the one on the first album which was; hard rocking guitars cool quirky keyboards that perfectly complimented each other and great drumming and well crafted songs that make this album easy to love!i myself like this album even better than the debut album.i also like some of the album that came after this one which was titled panorama. i think this might be the cars best album.i wish i would have seen the cars on the candy o tour.well anyway for me the great tunes on this are[and again there are many!];let,s go,night spots, candy o,since i held you,you can,t hold on too long, double life, dangerous type,it,s all i can do and got alot on my head.this album and the debut are like bookend albums.in my opinion this was when the cars were at thier best because after this album..or panorama..there was less cohesiveness as a band and the keyboards started to take a much greater role than the balance of guitars/keyboards on this or the debut album.so if you are an old fan or a new one this album and the debut are the ones to get! play them loud!!"
THE CARS CANDY O

"CANDY O- released in 1979. The title track and 'Got A Lot On My Head' are good rockers, while 'Since I Held You' and 'It's All I Can Do' are the best pop items. The slightly reserved 'Double Life' is also a highlight. The worst track is 'Let's Go', but also the first single from the album. Roy Thomas Baker again produced the album. A good album if you're a fan of the debut."
