"The Cassius team brought here one of the best electro record ever. This is both groovy and deep, touching and dancing, pop and hype. The sound is perfect, the music incredible, all the songs excellent from loungy down tempo to house rockin' beats. Now we know that producers can take the best of themselves (and the best of their friends: Jocelyn Brown, Ghostface Killa from da Wu-Tang Clan, Leroy Burgess...) without spoiling every melody.
Surely one of the records of the year, hope it would be recognized so!!"
Cassius rocks out atari style

"cassius new album "au reve" is a more tech heavy pursuit than its predecessor "1999". atari bleeps and bloops swirl in and out but never take away from the sophisticated melodies and taught rhythyms.the whole album has a messy, underground sound to it, which i love considering how sterile and devoid the majority of dance music has become. like the landmark "discovery" from daft punk, cassius has persued more rock sounds on this album...the electric guitar stands very prominent on many tracks...time will tell if this was a wise road to follow, but for now especially on the lovely "nothing" it adds a pink-floyd vibe to the album, which i enjoyed.overall, if you a fan of AIR, DAFT PUNK, and CASSIUS last release...you will be pleased with this purchase."
So huge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

"Nightclubbers will remember '1999', Cassius previous LP, as a cornerstone in 90's top house music. But this time our 2 French DJ's have really gone too far: this album is really high above any order dance/electro act released these days.
More than a few club hits in a row, this record will take you up and down, upside down and inside out like a real rollercoaster. From groovy dance hit singles (Sound of Violence, I'm a woman) to jazzy and soul electro tunes (Protection, Telephone love), everyone will find happiness here 'At the dream' (Au reve in French). Not talking about the incredible featurings: Jocelyn Brown, Ghostface Killa (from the WuTang), Leroy Burgess...
Definitely one the best record this year, just hope it would get the fame it deserves!!"

"Wow, where do i start? Like many others before me, I considered buying this CD after hearing 'The Sound of Violence' but hearing 'Thrilla' and 'I'm a Woman' pushed me to actually dish out the cash. As expected, 'Thrilla' and 'I'm a Woman' didn't disappoint. The album version of 'The Sound of Violence' isn't quite as good as the narcotic thrust remix of the track that I grew used to. Since purchasing this cd, 'Under Influence' and 'Till We Got You and Me' also became favorites of mine. However, to me, the crown jewel of the CD is 'Nothing' which really is nothing like a lot of the songs on the CD. It's very chilling and soothing all at the same time. 'Telephone Love' is VERY hard for me to sit through; it's not good on my ears although I don't doubt that the song may appeal to others."
I'm under influence!

"The second album from french group Cassius is even better then the first one, once again this electro dance group proves they are among the best groups of their kind out there. A mix of Electro/Synth and Funk/Soul, lots of guest artists this time but most of them are doing it well. Hi-Water and Sound of Violence are both funky with cool beats, Room tone and Telephone Love also goes in the same spirit of fresh original electro music. Jocelyn Brown appears on "Im a woman" a more soulish song and rapper Ghostface Killa on "Thrilla", interesting to mix rap and dance, a good result from my point of view. "Protection" is a relax song, like Royksopp, it's slow but good. In the end of the day this album is a hit a good mix of diffrent styles and one of the best elctro albums of last year! let's hope for more."
