Album DescriptionSince the early nineties Cast regularly offers us one album in a year, sometimes more. This mexican band led by Alfonso Vidales (keyboards) and Dino brassea (flute and vocals) seems to have no musical boundaries. "Com.union" is still in a progressive vein, sophisticated, often symphonic, not unlike Genesis or ELP, but this time there is a sort of Canterbury and jazzy mood here and there, with a lot of wind instruments (sax, clarinet, trumpet...), and with a lot of brilliant acoustic moments. Played with a real technical skill, full of positive vibrations, lively and colorful, Cast?s music has become eclectic and personal. "Com.union" is one of their best albums so far, a "must have"!
