"I had to splurge. I liked Caterine's new release,Fear-Pain-Love, so much I had to see what his sole debut was like. It's good. Cognition is not as heavy as FPL, but it is unique in it's own way. Don't expect to hear fast, over the top playing on this one. Cognition seems to be a concept album - and by God - it even flows like one. The best song in Rebirth, the first chapter of this epic masterpiece, is Search For Solace. It's opening sounds very progressive but settles down into a beautiful melody that reminds me of flying. Part two of this musical extravaganza, though not really my cup of tea, is truly brilliant. It opens with Intrigue which was co written by Jordet. I heard it for the first time on Garageband with only Jordet's part's. This version is even better. Caterine really adds that extra touch. Jordet's solo version is the top instrumental song of all time in Garageband.com history. The following songs in Soul Discovery's trilogy flow on a delicate wave, the first written by Caterine and the second another co-write with Jordet. Really nice stuff - classical in genre.Finally, Part three bears the CD's title, "Cognition." All three songs in this section are strong. Cognition, over all, is a masterpiece. It is the first time I have heard Jimmy Caterine play classical guitar, and he's not bad. Albeit, he is not a master, but he uses it well in relation to the music. If you enjoy nice melodies and a touch of rock and classical mix, Cognition is definitely worth buying."

"Caterine's visions shine through with tracks like Segue to the Heart, Venice and Intrique! Cognition is classical guitar at it's finest!

It's an emotionally charged work from the master of emotion; this CD will make you appreciate every detail of music and leave you in a state of complete peace. Cognition is simply beautiful!
