Search - Caulfields :: Whirligig

You can expect pretension from a band named after J.D. Salinger's famous hero. But despite the silly moniker and guitarist/vocalist John Faye's annoying Elvis Costello obsession, the Caulfields deliver a handful of endearing pop- rockers on their debut,Whirligig. The guitar-driven Delaware quartet is especially effective on "All Of My Young Life," a generational anthem that goes, "They lump us together and give us a name/Rock the vote you kids and share in the blame... All of my young life I've been left to wonder/Does anything change when you're old?" --Jim DeRogatis
