"This is one superb recording. One of the best stories ever told in opera music. Domingo &Obratsova bring such outstanding Italian warmth so missing in todays music. The preludio by Turrudi takes your mind to the beautiful Italian landscapes. I could feel Santuzza's hurting feelings in "No no Turrudi". The Intermezzo is outstanding. Ofcourse Alfio's voice is excellent. I love this opera CD its a pity my girlfriend doesn't like opera at all.I love the crying Pagliaci in "Vesti lagguba" U could almost feel the clown crying over the cheating wife. The sound in this CD is excellent who ever enhanced it did a great job.Buy it & found out for yourself. I usually play this CD early mornings or very late evenings when there is no noise of cars passing in the streets & I enjoy every song."
