CD Reviews

A pretty good CD

"All in all, this 2-disc CD is quite good. All of those people who accuse Stu and Doug of "stealing" John Fogerty's wonderful songs can kiss my ass as far as I'm concerned. Those are just a bunch of people who have no idea how to give credit to people who deserve it. They're just a bunch of immature, unrealistic fans who can't pry their lips from John's ass.
Now that I've calmed down a bit, it's true that this is NOT Creedence. John Fogerty WAS the heart and soul of CCR, but that does not mean that he WAS the whole band. Other fans talk as if John Fogerty had become a hit musician, and then Stu, Doug, and Tom just came running up and followed him everywhere. Also, when these fans LIKE a CCR song, it's good because JOHN wrote it, but if they dislike a song, it's because Stu, Doug, and Tom did a bad job playing it, which it totally unrealistic. If Stu, Doug, and Tom were so "expendible" and could have been replaced by anybody, then WHY have all of the other musicians that John Fogerty has played with done such a HORRIBLE job of playing these great songs. As far as I'm concerned, Revisited plays the music to these songs ten times better than the musicians that back John up on Premonition. And for those of you that say that John Triasto does a horrible imitation of Fogerty, it's because HE'S NOT DOING A F***ING IMITATION!!!!!!!!! It would simply be boring to just listen to these songs without someone singing. I mean, sure, I would much rather listen to John Fogerty sing these songs, but he keeps dissappearing for ten years at a time and he rejected the idea to play with Cook and Clifford, which I understand, so someone had to sing. So, to summarize what I've been saying, Revisited plays the Creedence classics great, and this 2-disc set is a must have."
Not as good as I had hoped

"I saw these guys live, and man, were they awesome, they sounded so much like CCR. But, when i go to listen to the CD, they sound very poor. It has been almost 10 years from the time I saw them live to when they recorded this, so mabey their better now and they might release a great album. But still, their not bad."
