"Well, let me preface this with the fact that i've only listened to it twice, but this album is NICE.heavy rootsy feel with some really soulful saxophone and horns on the top. this taps the same dread riddim as heart of the congoes, with nyabinghi drumming enhanced by some great saxophone solos. the musicians really stretch out in some places, and if you like a good jam (never approaching fela length), you'll love this. some of the changes remind me of ernest ranglin's recent stuff, but all the tracks date from the 70s. its pretty long...tops out way over an hour, but most of the material is of very high quality.the packaging is unique...loads of great liner notes, but a bit of a hassle to get the disc in and out. that shouldn't matter though...i have a feeling this one'll be in the changer for a long time! fire up some lambsbread and enjoy!"

"Great album. Definitely 5 stars. I have it for three days now and I've been listening to it non stop. It's jazz, roots reggae, dub, mento, Afrobeat, african percussions, Cuban music, nyabinghi and disco from the 1970's. There are 19 tracks but it's still too short. For people who like Rico Rodriguez, Fela Kuti, Sun Ra, Chic,...
The only complaint I have is that it doesn't feature the extended version of 'Africa'."
