"This cd is good but the description would imply toned down, relaxed Miami-style (hard) chill. This is not that. I would describe it more as low-intensity techno or progressive music.
Some good mixing and decent track selection but there is little that is truly indicative of a "Miami" sound that is typically rich, with full sound with elements of ethnic and tribal beats. This is not that. This cd is more akin to early 2000s underground west coast techno with hints of vocals here and there, but largely for the club-head masses coming down off of whatever was going on that night. Nothing new or innovative. I guess I expected more.
A good effort, and worth having if you aren't expecting a truly chillout or Miami lounge experience or some of the more detailed and harder (deeper) music Miami Space is also known for. That is, for CD#1 (UNO).
CD#2 (DOS) is another story. This cd is amazing. It's funky, creative, dark and energetic. Real Hard Lounge, housy techno-house. Hard to describe by easy to listen to. It's great. Track #5, especially, is clever and creative and demonstrates why Miami Space Terrace has its own following. Good beats, good mixing, great effort.
Track #8 and Track #10 (after 2:30s) have elements that sound annoying, similar to an alarm clock that won't turn off, but nothing that a little flick of the skip button can't resolve. Other than that, it's a really good danceable chill cd that truly captures the mood of a great Miami party."
