Synopsis

Product Description
Celldweller - the versatile outlet of the artist, performer, producer, songwriter, programmer, and remixer Klayton, began as a producer pseudonym in the early 90's. Now, over a decade later, Klayton uses the name to deliver his vision of progressively combining multiple genres of music. Taking a unique approach to mixing styles, Celldweller fuses the electronics of drum & bass and techno, with rock and orchestral elements, meshing the synthetic and the organic, darkness with beauty, into a cohesive blend entirely its own. The album features Birthright and Solaris which were used in The Spirit and Speed Racer trailers and TV spots for Iron Man and Spider-Man 3. The Celldweller self-titled debut album received 7 awards at the 2004 Just Plain Folks Music Awards, including Producer of the Year and Album of the Year.

CD Reviews

Great Instra-mental !

"This will give fans a slight fix till the "real" new CD comes out ! There is very little vocals, its more or less a sound track, hence the title. Good music by a great (unknown to most) band."
An Amazing Addition to the Celldweller Discography

"The Detroit, Michigan based musical wizard Scott Albert or better known as Klayton strikes again. This one man project has evolved into a well oiled and widely respected phenomena. Celldweller has aired it's music in commercials, movies, video games and even a trailer during a Super Bowl. Fans continue to flock to this hybrid of Techno/Trance laced Rock/Metal and for good reason as it is easily some of the most original music you'll ever find.

Soundtrack for the Voices in my Head is an album ALL Celldweller fans will enjoy. That said some caution as this album is instrumental and has very little or no vocal work on most the tracks. I expected this to be a collection of Techno songs mastered by Klayton but I was gladly surprised to find that this has the same Metal/Rock influences mixed into the electronica. Where the vocals are they shine and Klayton's vocals are better then ever, addictive and will have you singing along in no time.

Songs such as Solaris and Descent have a heavier Popish Metal sound showing that Klayton still wants to keep that edge to his music. While others like Ursa Minor and Surgical rely more on the dark Techno style that Klayton has mastered like no other. The album has a little bit of everything we all love as Celldweller fans and in my opinion is the perfect album for those of us that are dying to hear new material. Furthermore towards the end of the album are easily some of the best Remixes by Klayton to date and are so well done they are practically stand alone songs rather then remixes.

When it comes down to it Celldweller is easily one of my favorite groups around. Most especially because I myself am from the Detroit area where Klayton is from so I support his efforts as much as possible. If you are a fan of his music at all I advise picking this up soon, it is an amazing album of completely original and new tracks by Celldweller. If you get the oppourtunity I advise seeing them live as well, they put on an amazing show. As far as new fans go I would advise buying the self titled album first or buy it with this. Thanks for reading and I hope my review helped you to see how great this album is, also see my review for Celldweller's amazing debut album Celldweller.

-A loyal Klayton fan."
