Cerulean Blue was started in the winter of 2000, in the small town of White Salmon, WA (60 miles northeast of Portland). Lead singer Keegan Matosich and lead guitarist Evan Larsell formed the band; drummer Chad Hinman and bassist Reed Harvey joined with no previous musical background. They praciticed together and finally started begging for shows to play. As they began to open gigs for local band Mosaic, the band continuted to improve musically, both as individuals and as a group, defining their own stlye of alternative rock.

As band memebers came to master their instruments, they started talking about putting an album together. At that point, they had been together for over two years, and were continuing to play as much as they could throughout the Portland-metro area.

This self-titled debut CD was relesed in May of 2002, after many long recording hours and hard work put into creating the band's first album.
