Excellent RIO/Jazz/Rock

"I am pleased with this cd. It is a great combo of the downtown NYC avant-jazz sound with Henry Cow-style RIO. All of the players are incredible and the songs are very unpredictable. Some of the songs occasionally get into the RIO mode of "repeat an insanely complex phrase over and over" but these songs are short and are solid anyway. In fact I really like the fact that almost all of the songs on the album are in the 2-3 minute range. They really pack a lot of musical ideas into this album. Also its got the drummer from the Muffins."
