Those who are familiar with recent Cuban music Ethe works of Issac Delgado, Bamboleo, NG La Banda, Irakere, Los Van Van and so on Ewould know that those musicians pursue innovative fusion of salsa, jazz, and sometimes even hip-hop. And Changuito (Jose Luis Quintana) remains in the scene of such innovation: He was a percussionist in Los Van Van for years and after he quitted the band he began participating in some interesting collaborations. For example he took part in Kip Hanrahan's Deep Rumba. Here in this album he have composed all the pieces that shows virtuoso performance matching it up well with the kind of rhythm which is typical of electronic dance music."
