Album DescriptionLike a weed poking up through the newly poured asphalt that was quickly turning the Southern Californian countryside into a vast suburban wasteland, the nascent hardcore punk scene began to grow. Channel 3, hailing from an outlying LA bedroom community, was a pioneering member of this scene of disillusioned teens who found music was the only viable alternative to hanging out in front of the local mini mart. Somehow, between backyard keg parties, their demo made it to the legendary Posh Boy label, and the band soon released their first full length LP, 1982's Fear Of Life. The album became an immediate classic and was picked up by England's No Future label and released in the UK with the more incendiary title of I've Got A Gun. The band was now at the peak of its popularity, playing to large crowds at home and abroad and even enjoying some chart success. Digipak. Get Back. 2005.
