"I remember growing up listing to the beautiful music of Charles Aznavuor and I can honestly say that those memories are the happiest times of my life. And with all the depression that Iam going through, I can reminest and remember the happier and carefree days where Mr Azanour would be my saviuor and my dream father. " If Mr Azanour reads this tell him thank you" For now Iam 27years old and your still a wonderful memory. And I pray God gave you all the happiness your heart disirebecause you filled mines.Thank you for being an inspiration in my whole entire life!!!!"

"Aznavour not only has a terrific voice, expresses sentiment without slush, has perfect diction, but chooses themes that touch the hardest heart. And he writes the words and lyrics for almost all of the songs on this album. I loved, especially (my english translation) "No, I haven't forgotten a thing". I never tire of listening to these songs. He's uniquely French, yet uniquely universal in appeal."
One of the best albums I've ever heard

"This is the music that changed my life! The most beautiful songs and melodies I ever heard...and I was raised on U.S. rock/pop, soul and hip-hop, and one day I heard Charles Aznavour's music and my life and appreciation for music were never to be the same again. Full of drama, pathos and with a singing style that no one seems to emulate these days (everyone either sounds like a whiny alterna-rocker or overblown hysterical R&B singer) this music is thus far unmatched. Many masterpieces grace this album, among them "Comme ils dissent," "A ma femme," "Non je n'ai rien oublie," "Mourir d'aimer" and "Me voila seul." Beautiful, melancholy, heartbreaking and uplifting.

Music that wrenches your soul

"Absolutely, hands down THE french singer. His stories come from such a personal place, and manages to reach in to the deepest folds of our hearts. Of course the melodies (as on every recording) take you far away - yet bring you close to his stories. Sample "Je n'est rien oublier". It's beautiful. The whole CD is worth playing over and over. Each song takes you on a different little journey that you can't wait to visit again. Highly recommend it."

"I have always loved this song: Idiote je t'aime. Many people have so much trouble saying these words!!
This song helps to understand why it may be so hard to simply say "I love you"."
