"Ex-Baseball player Charley Pride had 29 #1 Billboard Country Hits between 1969 & 1983. He also has the distinction of recording the first Gospel Album to hit #1. This was the Grammy winning 1971 release "Did You Think To Pray". Unfortunately, that album has never been released on CD. This collection, "Pride & Joy", is almost as good, incredibly 35 years has not diminished the heartfelt, soulful singing of Charley Pride. I heartily recommend this CD to anyone who likes Charley and/or masterfully done Southern Country Gospel Music. The duets with Dolly & Willie are a nice bonus, but every track is a home run in my book."

"Wow I'm so happy! At last one of my favorit country singers, puts out a new and greate album. I have loved his gospel albums from the 70s " Did you think to pray" and "sunday morning with Charley Pride"
His voice, in the 70s, was in class by its own, so i was a little suprised that he still singj just as good. His woise is still greate, buth he is older now, ofcorse.
And the songs are greate also, and Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton, do not bake it less beautiful.
So if you are a Charley Pride fan or just like joyfull music, get this."
