"I've listened to "Porch and Altar" (Charlie's last album) over and over again and was blown away when this one came out. Charlie is so much different than other lead worshipers out there today. He just seems like a guy who's doing it all for the Lord and not for himself at all. This album is so very artistic with each song having a differnent element that makes it special. His words and music have definitely ignited my love for God that I've been lacking. Highly recommended!!"
Charlie's faith struggle

"In Charlie's newer CD, "Flying Into Daybreak" there is an excerpt in the liner notes that makes reference to "On the Road to Beautiful" being an intense and trying time for him, that the songs were birthed out of a desperate place. I don't claim to know exactly what he was going through, but the common theme in the whole CD is perseverence in spite of brokenness. These are not just nice worship songs; they are a heart's desperate cry for restoration and wholeness when all seems lost. They are a statement of faith from a faithless situation. It is trust in God when going through what Saint John of the Cross called the "dark night of the soul." These songs are a diary of the joy of brokenness and total abandon to God. When I am going through a trying time and I feel like my whole world is collapsing, these songs bring comfort and stability to my heart and mind. If Charlie had to birth these songs just to give someone like me a picture of what it's like to go through struggle and come out like refined gold on the other side, it was worth it. Thank you, Charlie for daring to believe God even when you didn't feel like it. It is an encouragement. Musically, this disc is mellower than his other releases, but the spirit in which these songs are delivered is potent. Buy this CD, listen to these songs, and find comfort in them like I have."
I LOVE this CD

"I have been a big supporter of Charlie Hall for a long time now. He leads worship at the Church I was a part of in college. This CD does not disappoint. It's Charlie's softer side and it's one you'll listen to over and over again. I received it within a week of ordering it and it was in perfect condition when it arrived. Great price too!"
There's just something different...

"I am always on the prowl for worship music that moves me and this CD does just that. In fact, I have been moved to tears while driving to work listening to this CD. The only other music that seems to usher in His presence for me in this way has been some of the earlier Hillsong CDs. I'll admit that I am way too critical about music and find that most of the p&w coming out today is so bland, unoriginal, and contain corny or awkward lyrics. This CD, on the other hand, just seems so sincere, so heart-felt. I really enjoy the bold and prophetic nature of some of Charlie's songs such as The Rising Shout, which reminds me of King of Glory and Holy Visitation off of his other CD.What is bizarre is that I actually disliked this CD when I first got it. Two listens later and I couldn't stop listening. Finally, I enjoy playing his songs as well. I played "The Rising Shout" at church yesterday and it went over very well. I guess different music affects different people but my wife confirmed the connection when she said, "You should play more Charlie Hall songs, they fit you so well." That's all I needed to hear."
