A good year for Bird

"'1950' is a compilation documenting most, if not all of the recordings saxophone player Charlie Parker made during the year 1950.

Wow! What a compilation this is! It's rare, but if you want it, it's worth every cent. Most of Bird's most important recordings are on here. 'Star Eyes,' 'Repitition,' 'Bloomdido' and 'An Oscar For Treadwell' all appear on this set.

And, considering the age of these recordings, the sound quality is excellent.

Overall, if you haven't discovered the greatness of Charlie Parker, than this set is great. While it does only span his recordings from the year 1950, every song on here is timeless.

Well worth the money. Highly recommended. ENJOY!!!"
