This collection shows a good sample of her music: her traditional "Macorina", "Volver, volver" and "Mi segundo amor", different tunes and styles of music, which everyone interested in music should include on the list."

"This is the hottest, sexiest, most golden of the gold. Vargas: honey sweet, ripping, belting, trembling, hissing between gritted teeth, growling like a savage wolf - while her fingers from across a schizophrenic yet logical abyss play in melodious counterpoint to the emotional rollercoaster of her voice.There are places in "Macorina" where I absolutely stop breathing. Look up the words! It is also well worth reading about the real Macorina. I ripped this CD from a friend, but it is so incredibly good, I am buying it as a mark of respect for the incomparable, beautiful Chavela Vargas. I can't wait to hear more."
