"Son of Believe" is living proof!

"Frankly, I expected nothing like this cd. Actually, I didn't know what to expect after "Believe". I was on of those that had a "wee" problem with Cher going 'dance'. I wanted another "Heart Of Stone" or "It's A Man's World. Believe showed Cher in great vocal form from previous recordings. The songs suited her to a tee (with the exception of "We All Sleep Alone", a real nightmare!) and the production was quite good.
My big surprise was the amount of careful work that went into this followup. The only reason this cd doesn't rate a "5" in my opinion is that she could have done it entirely without vocoder effects and it would have still been great. After all, I buy her music to hear HER.
"Song For The Lonely" will be as big, if not bigger, than Believe. And there are several potentials for Top 10 to follow. Check out the infectious "Different Kind Of Love Song", the haunting "Rain Rain", anthemic "Alive Again", the 70's disco "Love Is A Lonely Place Without You", and a great cover of "Love One Another". This cd tops Believe without taking away from it. If you haven't got it yet, wait for the february release of the US version which will contain an additional track (13). Yep, she's back, big time!"

"Living Proof is her best cd yet! But the Japanese version is so much better, it also has two songs on it that the US version didnt and those songs are..."the look" which is a HOT song, I LOVE IT!!! And the other one is, "you take it all" which is also another awesome song! I have both the US version and the japanese version and i highly recommend the Japanese version, it has better vocals and its just AWESOME!! The only thing is, is that the Jap version doesnt have the song on it called "when you walk away" but its on the US version! I guess either way you cant go wrong! She is indeed LIVING PROOF! LOVE YA CHER!"
Even Better Than The Real Thing!

"I really would have not thought of Cher being able to surpass herself with this release.
But if you like BELIEVE, then you will most certainly be falling in love with LIVING PROOF.
She is sticking to the dance formula, but this time around she's not just having Metro on board supervising the album (although they appear to b the exec producers).
You can hear their influences in two very dissimilar tracks: both the European leading single THE MUSIC'S NO GOOD WITHOUT YOU (plain dancefloor-oriented) and the American one A SONG FOR THE LONELY (more electric guitars, reminds me a bit of a remixed U2 song).
Their best effort comes through in LOVE IS A LONELY PLACE WITHOUT YOU...it's very emotional, very deep meaning - it was the song playing in my head as Sakis and I said goodbye for the last time in December 2001.
But then she also has some great fun with Chicane (ALIVE AGAIN)and Tony Moran (BODY TO BODY, written by Diane Warren, but probably the weakest track off the whole album...).
A LOVE SO HIGH and WHEN THE MONEY'S GONE are written and produced by Bruce Roberts, and bring back some good old pop.
Stargate-produced/written A DIFFERENT KIND OF LOVE SONG is made for the discos of the world...
And the Japanese version i own has an extra track called THE LOOK: it is not the cover of Roxette's hit, but a brand new composition by Metro, that borders a lot towards Latino influenced tracks (got the feeling this must have been written with Ricky Martin or Enrique Iglesias in mind as performers, and then later changed to Cher).
The lady will be knocking you off your feet once again...i am so excited to see what she will come up with next!"
Only the very best from Cher...

"There are really two songs on this disc that are not on the US version - 'You Take It All' and the Latin-flavoured 'The Look.' While this import may be a little expensive, 'The Look' is totally worth the extra cash. Unlike many of the other songs on this disc, 'The Look' does not contain a lot of computer enhanced effects, like the 100% techno number 'The Music's No Good Without You.' 'The Look' is set to a funky Flamenco beat that would have really gone over well as a single in the US. The lyrics may be light weight, but it's just so much fun to listen to! I don't pernsonally own the Japanese version of 'Living Proof,' but I have heard 'The Look' a number of times. If you love Cher and Spanish-influenced music, buy a copy of this import. I can assure everyone that they will not be disappointed."
