"CD 1 (The very best)The collection of songs here is very good, you'll find her biggest songs in just one cd which for me is very good because I hate albums that come in two discs. Because every time that you want to listen to one or other song you have to switch cds. The only two mistakes that I found with this collection is that they didn't add her 1987 Top 15 hit "We all sleep alone" and instead of that song you'll find "A different kind of love song" which is a good song but wasn't a hit and the other mistake is that "Bang, bang" appears in its original version. The new version from 1987 is much better.
Some of the songs here are: "If I could turn back time", "Believe", "Save up all your tears", "Strong enough", "I found someone" and "Take me home".CD 2 (Live, The farewell tour)Cher's Farewell Tour was very good, the songs were very good chosen and the show was very Cher.
In this cd you'll find almost all the songs that she sang. The missing ones are "Save up all your tears", "A different kind of love" and "All sleep alone". Cher's voice and music are very good live. On the shows she sang in a medley her early hits "All I really want to do", "Gypsies, tramps and thieves", "Dark lady" and "Half-breed". That's the version that you'll get of those songs in this cd.
There's nothing left to say about this cd 'cause we all know Cher (whether you love her or hate her).
The only thing that I'd recommend is to buy the Farewell Tour DVD."

"Cher released this last cd of all her greatest hits from all 5 decades of her success, including two songs remixed. The second CD is a recording of her last tour (Living Proof- The Farewell Tour) LIVE, (which can be bought seperately). This CD, being a special edition (and will only be available for a limited time) is a must have for ANY Cher fan. I have the Special Edition, plus a copy of each of the CD's seperately, for Cher is a legend, and her spirit will live on forever."

"It has all her hits and even hard to find ones such as the radio dance edit of One By One. All her most famous songs are on this disk. You can bop to Shoop Shoop, Believe, Gypsys Tramps and Theives, All Or Nothing, Strong Enough, and ballads such as Turn Back Time, I Found Someone, and I Got You Babe. Some of the songs I do not know becasue they are not from my generation but most of them are good anyway. This is a great buy. The best part is that this version comes with the bonus cd live in concert The Farewell Tour. This cd has songs like Still Havent Found What Im Looking For, Song for the lonely, After All and all the other hits live. SO as you can see this cd is excellent and an essential for your cd collection."
History of Pop according to Cher

"The queen of extravaganza and spectacular comebacks sums up on album "The Very Best Of" astonishing forty years of her career, which brought unforgettable worldwide hits in as many as five decades! No other star achieved this status as a solo artist.
Full version of this compilation was released outside the U.S.A. as an excellent profuse two-CD set with almost all her UK & US hits from all labels she recorded for and some rarities as well. Unfortunately this is a US version, which contains only 21 of her hits, but as its special edition it has also limited special bonus disc with hits recorded live on her farewell tour.
It's an interesting done compilation, but three songs should be replaced by much bigger hits. It could contain all Cher's US Top 10 hits (from both "Billboard" charts: Hot 100 and Singles Sales) and these US singles, which went to Top 10 only in the UK. 20 songs in total. It means that hits: "You Better Sit Down Kid", "The Way Of Love", "Love And Understanding" and "When The Money's Gone" should be added instead of less popular "Heart Of Stone", "Save Up All Your Tears" and "A Different Kind Of Love Song".
Fans can also find here two the biggest Sonny & Cher's hits, "I Got You Babe" and "The Beat Goes On", what is brilliant completion of this collection.
Cher has released so many collections of hits so far that her every fan should be very exacting in selecting the best one. "The Very Best Of" is the most perfect, because it sums up forty years of her career. Of course, it's better to choose its comprehensive double CD version with 42 hits. But if you want to have only the most important songs in both studio and live versions, choose this special US edition. It's a music feast for every fan of pop music. That's why Cher is so successful artist so long. Let's enjoy!

"Just received The Very Best Of Cher (Special edition)set of 2 CD's. Even tho a lot of the songs are the same, I still enjoy both very much. The one Performed "Live" is a change, because I can visualize Cher doing her special on TV, which was great.
She is ageless! And I never get tired of her music.
I would recommend this set for anyone who is a real fan of Cher."
