"I believe this was the first Cherish the Ladies CD's, made before they really WERE Cherish the Ladies. The music is lively and technically well performed but the Ladies hadn't developed their distinctive style yet and there isn't much to distinguish it from any number of other competent Irish groups.Joannie Madden plays well as usual but seems a bit muted. Maybe Joannie and the rest of the Ladies weren't allowed to let it all out in the way we've grown to love in later Cherish the Ladies CDs.If you're a Ladies fan or just appreciate fine Irish music then buy this CD... Then buy The Back Door, Threads of Time, New Day Dawning, at home or Out and About and see how far Cherish the Ladies has come!"
