So happy.....

"I am so happy that record companies have seen fit to re-release many old recordings using modern technology to enhance sound. My father collected most of these Chet Atkins hits on 78 rpm records in the early 1950's. Those old discs now collect dust in my closet. Fortunately I can listen to high quality versions on CD's and re-discover my first hero, the young Chet Atkins. I refer to this era of his music as his "show-off" years. Chet was in his 20's when he recorded some of these. He was still great in his 70's but this is classic Chet."
