"Chopteeth is a large Afrobeat band out of Washington, D.C. Their music is fun, funky and full of surprises. They've received plenty of acclaim for their live shows in the D.C. area, and their studio debut is equally impressive. The album states that it is dedicated "to those who see their world clearly, respect their fellow earthlings, and love to dance!" And it sure doesn't disappoint! The songs are diverse, ranging from traditional Afrobeat to innovative jazz-funk to soft Afro-Caribbean melodies to hip-hop. But the album also hangs together beautifully as a single whole. It's a real delight, from start to finish. In these difficult times, music is my refuge -- and this is at the top of my playlist! Treat your mind and body to a real treat and buy this album!"
