"Like all the rest of the reviewers, I was wondering if Chris ever did a follow up. It wasnt made easy when there are other musicians called Chris Anderson. This album is absolutely top class from begining to end. Heres a breakdown.



1. You're gonna need me - A nice slowish Blues number that reminds me of Walter Trout, but when Walter plays in this style, I get bored easy. With Chris, his vocals are much fuller, and the guitar doesnt have to be 100mph.

2. SLow Burn - A mid paced Blues instrumental that again reminds me slightly of the Walter Trout vibe. Maybe it is from the keyboards.

3. Old friend - A southern tinged tune featuring Warren Haynes on Slide guitar. Excellent vibe throughout.

4. One step ahead of the Blues - One of my favourites. A nice slow 12 bar

5.Crying for my baby - An up tempo number that reminds me of the Allman Brothers Band.

6.Life is Hard - Another emotional slow Allmans styled blues number

7.Aint givin up on love - Another up tempo rocker. ALso reminiscent of the ABB.

8. Trust me - My least favourite tune on the album. The ABB meets SRV?

9. Jakes song - Really nice Southern styled Ballad.

10. WHen will you be satisfied - My favourite. A great rocking blues rockin foot tapping toon. Love the bass-drum accompanyment. Great vibe.

11.One good woman - Another slow paced blues tune with touches of ALbert King.

12.Driving out of the Blues - Another of my favourites. Great rockin,great guitar and as always great vocals. This reminded me slightly of Bryan Adams at his peak when he knew how to rock.

13. Untitled instrumetal - Basically 2 Bottleneck slide guitars for just under 2 minutes. Really cool."

Too big a secret in music

"I found this cd 7 years ago and have been listening to it regularly ever since. Tremendous vocals, blistering guitar and backed by Gov't. Mule drummer Matt Abst (with cameo by Warren Haynes), this release really grooves. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a sophomore release from Mr. Anderson. He is an incredibly gifted blues musician and while he may be doing a regular gig in the country music field, he truly belongs in the blues genre. I am a big fan of this man and would love to hear other music by him. Also, for those of you who do not know, there is a hidden track at the end, #13 and is untitled. Bottleneck blues instrumental, just amazing. C'mon Chris, give us MORE!!!! Mike in Ohio"

"I bought this CD when Camelot Music was still around. I was a regular at the store in Crystal River, FL and the manager and I shared a love of the blues. He was the one that turned me on to this CD.....absolutely the best CD to come along in awhile. I had a 900 CD collection...most of them blues, and when I started moving around alot, decided I had to get rid of them. This one I kept.....thankfully!!! It's one CD I'll never part with. Chris...where are you????"
