"I FIRST HEARD THIS (ORIGINAL LP AT THE TIME) AS A TEENAGER IN ATLANTA. 53 YEARS LATER "WOW". IT WAS MY FIRST ENCOUNTER WITH "PROGRESSIVE JAZZ" OR "WEST COAST JAZZ". EVERY CUT IS A+ BOTH IN FIDELITY, WORDS, MUSIC, AND THE KILLER BACKUP OF GROUPSELLIS LARKINS TRIO, VINNIE BURKE QUARTET, RALPH SHARON GROUP. the price is surely right. only june christy comes close to chris. june recommended chris to stan kenton when see left kenton for her illustrious career as a solo Capitol artist. they both had a smokey, sexy, low registered voice. of course, sarah vaughn and ella are great jazz singers, ella not as smokey sexy, and sarah more diverse with her amazing vocal range. go for it: one of the greatest jazz singers at her very best. this particular cd was issued in 1994 "under license from bethleham music company. manufactured and distributed by rino records through warner brothers.." KILLER TUNES THAT CHRIS MADE FOREVER FAMOUS FROM THE ORIGINAL RECORDINGS OF THE MID 1950s; ALL ABOUT RONNIE, I HEAR MUSIC, COME BACK TO SORRENTO, FROM THIS MOMENT ON, taken from her first and best and earliest recordings from the great BETHLEHEM archives. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!"
