Early classic from this songwriting master

"Chris Rea is known mostly for his first hit "Fool If You Think It's Over" and his album "Road to Hell" but his self titled fourth album may well be his best. "Every Beat of my Heart" is as tender a love song as Mr. Rea has written, & songs like "Runaway" and "Goodbye Little Columbus" seem to float with infectious melodies. "Just Want To Be With You" is the standout track on the album. With lines like "The smile that burned down those old rusted gates... those eyes that danced into my soul... and all along this lifelong motorway... bad news upon the radio" the listener gets a preview of the classic albums to come."
Well worth owning

"Great CD that has seemed to get lost in the shuffle of his career. If You Choose to Go and Every Beat of My Heart are classic Chris. This isn't his best effort, but if you have heard Auberge and Road to Hell, it is well worth the investment."
