A Remix Disc That's Actually Worth Buying...

"I normally tend to stay away from remix albums. Nine times out of ten, a remix album consists of basically the same songs from the regular album with a jungle loop thrown in and not much else. With Bitcrusher, this definitely isn't the case. Each mix on the album does a great job of standing apart from the original tracks, and each of them would definitely stand on their own. From my first listen, the tracks that really caught my attention were the Tussin Rub mix of "Sore," An Evening With the Starf-ckers mix of "A Slight Rage," and the Minor Solution mix of "Sustain."
The two original tracks are great, "Piss" (which is available for a free download via Christ Analogue's homepage) being the better of the two. It's very refreshing to hear a danceable industrial track that doesn't sound like the Apoptygma/Wolfscheim/VNV stuff that's big these days (no offense to fans of that flavor of industrial, but I have a hard time telling the difference between any of them anymore). Wade Alin is angry about something, and he (as usual) has no problem venting his rage through his music.
This disc is worth the cash. Even if I had never heard one track off of EDID, I'd still find these mixes enjoyable. Don't miss it."
