If you have a chance to see Christian perform live, you will learn that not only is he a monster player, but a delightful person as well. This group works so well together, the interplay is hypnotic. If you ever give music as a gift, this should be at the top of your list. Even the un-jazzed will live this one. Christian's performance is dazzling. Tierney Sutton adds just the right spice to the project. If you want more, you are in luck; each of Christian's disks is a treat. This same trio backs up Tierney on her five releases. The four of them have played together for 10+ years, and it shows."

"Yes, I think think Christian Jacobs and Trey Henry are terrific, all the songs are great, and the CD has legs.

They're all stellar, but you have to check out Ray Brinker. Amazing drumming in a piano trio. If this were live and unmiked, he could never do it. In the studio, however, he really lets it fly. It's a given his technique is superb; it's his cymbal-style that'll knock you out. Great fun to listen to!"
