Synopsis
Album Description You know her from the infectious single "AM To PM" which hit the top position on Billboard?s Hot 100 Singles chart in 2001, yet that was just a taste of what this multi-faceted young woman is capable of.Christina Milian is a multi-talented phenomenon whose resume includes film, television, theater and music. With starring roles in feature films and her highly-anticipated debut album "It?s About Time" ready for release, Milian is poised to take the entertainment industry by storm. One listen to "It?s About Time" and it is clear that Christina is in a decidedly more mature space. "I?m older now. When "AM To PM" came out I was a teenager. Now I?m 22 and so songs on this album have a little more depth to them." The depth is evident by the album?s R&B vibe and lyrics that have a bit more edge. You can feel the sexy point of view on cuts like the up-tempo "Love." Produced by Warryn Campbell and featuring label mate Joe Budden, "Love" vibrates with a retro 80?s dance club feel. |
CD ReviewsThis Is A Great Comeback Daniel Abrahams | London, England | 06/03/2004 (4 out of 5 stars) "She may have been away for a while but Christina Milian is back, and she is looking and sounding better than ever. This album is brilliant, with tracks like the massive single Dip It Low, L.O.V.E, Peanut Butter & Jelly that make this album stand out. The album also features Joe Budden and Faboluos, It's About Time is a welcomed return for Christina Milian, So do yourselves a favour and buy this album, NOW!!!" Beyonce who?? Mari | USA | 06/16/2004 (4 out of 5 stars) "Good job Christina! I got this CD for my mom and she likes it. I myself would have prefered something with more of a pop sound. BUT, it's about time someone came out to kick Beyonce off her "pedestal" and Christina is just the one to do it. Not only is her voice better, but she is 199% prettier! I would have liked her to include at least ONE song in Spanish on her CD because she IS Latina and there aren't enough crossover artists as it is. Come on girl, knock Beyonce and Britney off the countdowns and the so-called "hot" lists!" Amazing! Blair Dismond | Virgina | 06/25/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "This girl is so talented! It's a shame all people know is Beyonce... Especially when this girl craps on Beyonce in beauty and singing. I followed her career and couldn't wait for the album. The standout songs to me were the Dip it Low (Remix), Someday One Day, Highway, and I'm Sorry. Dip it Low (Remix) was setoff with extra drum patterns and the inclusion of Fabolous. A difference for the best. Someday One Day is just and all around great smooth R&B song. Highway is GREAT and really is the female version of Ignition. The song I'm Sorry is in my opinion her next single and is one of the greatest songs I've ever heard. Buy the album, you will not be dissapointed... Oh yeah I'm going to marry Christina Milian...lol. It's illegal for a girl to look THAT good. lol. ;) Take care and enjoy the album."
