"First of all, just let me say how amazed I was to ever get my hands on a copy of this - I never thought this would be re-released. Thank You Sony Japan!
It was well worth the wait. The sound is classic, exactly what you might think of when you think British blues. The re-mastering is better than anything I could have hoped for: pure, clear, digital sound. I can hear every intricate detail.
The songs themselves have a timeless quality:
"Wait and See" One of the most striking tracks. It follows classic blues progression format on the piano, and Christine's voice is almost haunting. I was in love with it after just one play.
"Close to Me" Sounds a lot like something she might release with Fleetwood Mac; very upbeat and catchy-this one includes some interesting guitar work.
"And that's Saying Alot" _very_ different sound for her, almost jazzy. Very smooth vocals. Even though it's such a different sound, it fits on this album.
Christine is a very talented singer-songwriter, and this is one effort that should not be passed up. Even after three decades, this music is a must-have for your collection, whether you're a Fleetwood Mac fan or not.
One suggestion I might make, however, would be to buy this album through an independent seller instead of directly from Amazon. I bought it new from a seller, for around 22 USD, including shipping, _and_ I got it before Amazon's promised time.
