A Christmas Classic

"For anyone who loves Baroque music, you can't go wrong with this disc. The program selections are superb and the sound is outstanding. These are not period performances however, and you get a much fuller, more lavish orchestral rendition of these works than you'll find with conductors such as Hogwood or Pinnock. I happen to like listening to music performed in different ways, so I have both period and classic recordings in my collection. This is definitely one of my favorite Christmas CD's that I listen to every year around the holidays, but I also find it enjoyable in any season.
