"I already had her Holly and Ivy album, but I just purchased this one from Amazon for this Christmas. Sort of blindly, because I couldn't find out what songs were on it. I was not disappointed when it arrived.
Natalie Cole is a wonderful singer. Except for all of the pomp and circumstance which was afforded her re. the duet she made with her father on Unforgettable (posthumously) and which was so richly deserved, she has been mostly under-rated and underappreciated. She has a beautiful voice and carries herself well on her own. I hope she is still doing well and singing somewhere and perhaps can come out with some new albums soon. It's especially nice that she carries on his name. I'm sure she has inherited her talents from him. He was a wonderful musician with an incredible voice for the 50's and forevermore. In 1959 til 1961 my husband was based at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, and I will never forget those days nor the place, when and where we were so young, because I relate them to listening to Nat King Cole on my radio every day. It was the earlier days of our lives together and so the radio was about the only form of entertainment for us except for going to the movies on base for 10 or 25 cents. I'll never forget him nor will I ever forget his namesake daughter. GO Natalie. God Bless you.
And so, for folks out there who might be wondering: on this album she has another duet with her father on The Christmas Song; beautiful renditions of O Tannenbaum, Christmas Waltz, The Twelve Days of Christmas, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, and Sweet Little Jesus Boy, all with The London Symphony Orchestra. And then St. Davids Cathedral Choir contributes 3 songs: Ding Dong Merrily on High, What Child Is This?, and Rocking. To top it off are 3 by just The London Symphony Orchestro: Silver Bells, Gesu Bambino, and Silent Night. It doesn't get bogged down. And it's hard to find any better. The songs are well placed and excellently presented on this CD."

"I've always listened to this Natalie Cole album around Christmastime. Unfortunately, it got lost a couple of years ago and I decided to buy a new one. This album is full of great Christmas music, some songs purely instrumental and some that are sung by Natalie. I will never decorate my tree without this album playing in the background again!"
