"Without a doubt, these are some of the very best recordings to come out of New Yord in the 60s, and that's quite a statement. Luther Dixon was a great producer, and Sceptor was a great small label who really cared about the music. It shows in this collection. Oh, yeah, and there's Chuck Jackson, who's one of the greatest unknown soul singers.Don't buy this if you don't want to turn into a fervant fan. The production, arrangements, songwriting and singing are as fine as the 60s produced. Period. And Saraband/Varese did a whale of a job with the remastering. Wait until you hear "I Keep Forgetting." It will literally knock your socks off.A must have for 60s pop/soul fans."
Brilliant.

"There's a lot of brilliant 60's/70's soul men : Solomon Burke, Otis Redding, Tyrone Davis, Wilson Pickett, ZZ Hill, Darell Banks, JJ Barnes, Jackie Wilson......Chuck Jackson is very definitely up there with the best of them."
