"The vocal version of "Feels So Good" is one of the lovliest recordings of all time. This album is worth it just for that one song."
A Rare Gem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"There are some "clinkers" on this album, like the vocal version of Feels So Good and Lullabye For Nancy Carol, but 70 Miles Young, Cannonball Run Theme, and Recruedo make up for the lost space. 70 Miles Young, was written for Mangione's father, who was 70 years old at the time of this recordimg, is great! It's a suite with differen't movements and variations. The song starts off with a long intro, but then goes into a straight ahead jazz swing. Sort of a rarity for a Mangione album. The next movement is a latin/samba rhythm. This does sound like music that would be playing in a supermarket by the frozen food section! But it's good anyway. Then Chuck takesthe band into a rock feel. The masterpiece comes to an end with the overall melody. I was very excited to here the vocal version of Feels So Good when I had this cd in my hand at my record shop. I somehow new it wouldnt be that fantastic, anyway. I still get a kicj out of hearing it though. Chuck's beautiful, Cannonball Run Theme is so pretty, yet groovin'. It was featured on a lot of "best ofs." It also features the "Feels So Good Band." For the recording of Recruedo, Chuck used other musicians, rather than his Feels So Good Band. Steve Gadd and Ruben Bassini appear on this one. NIce drum solo! The cd comes to an end with the drag, Lullabye For Nancy Carol. This is an overlooked album, but is truley magnificent!"
