"Where did Chungking come from?
I have NO idea at all...
I was in a cd store, heard a track playing and asked the counter guy who it was. He guaranteed the album trax were of a similar quality - and he wasn't wrong.
One of my finds for 2003!
You know when you discover great music, you want to let everyone know.
Chilled, stunning vocals, and eclectic in parts.
I cant compare them to anyone, but perhaps Goldfrapps Felt Mountain is a good guideline, or even Morcheeba.
NB: This album has just been re-released in the Uk, but strangely has been renamed as 'The Hungry Years', completely repackaged (for the better), and replaced 2 tracks with 2 new ones. The new version is more polished, but don't be fooled into thinking its a new album."
WHY IS "BUBBLE LOVE" NOT ON THIS DISC?!?!?!?!!

"This group won me over with the track "Bubble Love"--needless to say, once I heard about their album "We Travel Fast" I had to have it! WHAT AN AMAZING DISCOVERY!!! With stunning and hypnotic vocals from Jessie Banks leading these 11 beautiful songs (12 if you were able to get the bonus track version of this release), Chungking has created some timeless tracks reminsicent of some 60s soundtrack. This is positively excellent music, nothing too overpowering or too melanchonic, just good ole fashioned music that will appeal to fans of Goldfrapp, Anjali, Halou, Hooverphonic and those of their ilk. Jessie's lyrics make sense (no interpretations needed) and you can actually understand what she's crooning, even when she's doing it as a "man"! Check out "Let the Love In" and "Full On" and you'll see what I'm talking about. I'd be foolish to say I have a favorite song on this one because they all are incredible! The only complaint I do have is where the hell is "Bubble Love"???????????"
