Cisco is the ointment for "Nash Rash."

"Hands down, this CD is the country music debut of the last year! Cisco sings like a cross between Steve Earle and Rod Stewart in his prime. His raspy, cigarette and whiskey soaked voice is perfect for these tales of longing, heartbreak, and desperation, (as well as proud defiance). His band, The Reasons Why, play a tough, stripped-down, Bakersfield style of country. The overall sound is very sharp and distinctive, with really good songwriting. Add to this an outlaw image and attitude, wicked sense of humor, and an indescribable high-lonesome feel. Cisco and his boys take the tradition of Ol' Hank, Buck, Merle, and Cash, and turbo-charge it with a ton of edge, heart, guts, and soul. In short, this CD kicks the crap out of most everything comin' out of Nashville."
This is a great record.

"Well worth listening to for fans who prefer their country music with its rock and roll heart intact. Cisco's penned some great tunes here, a mix of American pathos, humor, and working-class blues that doesn't devolve into grotesques and stereotypes. The musicianship and production is first-rate(Somebody send Mike Ness to Nashville!), and the boy's got a real voice on him, too!"
