"You know, I get weary of new music. Most of the time it seems that there is one good song I like on a CD I buy, then I have to "learn" to like the rest of the collection. Well, Citizens' Utlities has really won me over. This band has a very unique sound for a "Seattle Band." This album conjers up feelings of "Simon & Garfunkel" mixed with some Lou Reed adding some historic influences like Neil Young. This is a keeper. Unfortunately, the band has broken up. Damn!"

"One week they were on the cover of the local rag THE ROCKET. The next CU were the rage at Austin's South by Southwest music festival. And then they were gone.
No More Medicene navigated the musical waters charted by Pavement, REM, and of course the Meat Puppets. The record opens with the soaring vocals of POULTRY and closes with the LOU REEDISH title track. In between its everything that personifies the growing alternative country scene that was truly devolping around 1996. In places this album rocks, the gutair work is fabulous and the production very good.
This album is a must."
