"Top marks to Tadlow for this ambitious and remarkably successful recreation of a magnificent Tiomkin score. Sound quality is excellent. I have this re-recording and the (relatively rough-sounding) original soundtrack, and this sparkiling, expanded new performance is definitely my preference for future listening. Tiomkin's orchestral fireworks are often difficult to duplicate adequately in new recordings, but this one is a truly admirable effort from all concerned."
