Stellar, but inferior to the box set

"This 2 cd-set is a distillation of the original 4 cd box (which I'm lucky enough to own) originally released in Europe. Although there's lots of great smooth jazz and contempo orchestral work here, the set is missing some of the more mainstream artists with whom Claus worked, such as Sammy Davis Jnr and Barbra Streisand. Claus' arrangements are clearly enhanced by the superb remastering: every detail is crystal clear, and the age of the recordings is only betrayed by the occasional tape hiss at the end of tracks. The box set is also simply one of the most attractive I've ever seen, with extensive liner notes from Claus about every track and album cover reproductions of every release. But even if you can't find the 4 cd-set, get this, because it's a great listening experience."
