35 Hits in 35 Years

"Back in 1993, the year when Cliff Richard reached his 35th anniversary in the music business, somebody brought to his attention that coincidentally he had had exactly 35 hits in the "Top-5" over those 35 years (actually, in the "Top-4," since strangely not one had actually peaked at #5).
Thus the idea for the 2CD Set. You might say that it's kind of a "Best of the Best of..." album; each and every song peaked at no worse than a #4 rank! Most artists would give their eye teeth to get ONE song into the Top-10. Occasionally, some well-known artist is lauded for having Top-10 hits spanning two, even up to three decades. Well, that's fine, but Cliff has had one or more #1 Hits in the UK in each of FIVE consecutive decades of the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's (with a Top-5 Hit so far in the 2000's--you know what he's trying for). Of course he cannot go on forever (I don't think), but it is practically impossible to imagine how his present accomplishments will ever be surpassed.
To those of you who are familiar with and enjoy Cliff's music, I'm sure you already know just how great this compilation is. No need, really, for me to preach to the choir.
To those less familiar, it's still a great compilation--of a 35 year career which now approaches 47 years. What's kept him so big, and for so long? It's THE VOICE, stupid.
