CD Reviews...why were they ignored??? Dario Margeli | San Jose, CA United States | 07/25/2003 (5 out of 5 stars) "They only had 3 proper albums. Even though there first single was a minor hit in the U.S., it became a huge hit in continental Europe. Then their second single "the promise you made" became a hit in England. Their second album with the single "Just around the corner" was heavily promoted in the U.S. but didn't catch on. There 3rd one (from 1990) was slightly promoted in Europe but definitly not as top agenda artist for Sony so it was no surprise when radio ignored that one. I would say their music was just too good to be played on noisy horny surf dude KROQ! radio station ... and too adult for KIIS in Los Angeles. But I love Peter Kingsbery singing. ...He just poors it out and explodes and realy sings his emotions. His solo album on Polydor in the early 90s was awsome too. They say that you dont make art for money. But, you can go so long putting it all out there (probably living on loans) and not getting any recognition. Now with the internet and all the posibilities of it, Peter Kingsbery should return. Even if its doing a semi-electroic low budget album. Those vocals are for free!! More Daddy!" What happened to these guys? Dario Margeli | 07/19/2002 (5 out of 5 stars) "20 years later, this music is still ahead of it's time." Love this album Dario Margeli | 03/22/2002 (4 out of 5 stars) "Hard to know if Peter Kingsbery is lamenting heartache to a lover or God. Love the emotion of hope and aching of "Just around the corner." This album is the mantra of every single person waiting for their love to arrive...loss of innocence, unrequited love, all the pain of kissing the frogs. I loved the music in my 20's, now that I am getting closer to 40 - - I still find it somehow empowering. It takes you to a place where your pining for what you don't have, but pretty sure it is coming soon."
