Digitally remastered and expanded edition of this 1958 album from the Jazz great including five bonus tracks. Contains the complete classic album The High and Mighty Hawk presenting Hawkins with an all-star quintet including trumpeter Buck Clayton, pianist Hank Jones, bassist Ray Brown and drummer Mickey Sheen. Another complete quintet session has been added as a bonus. It was recorded the previous week, and features Hawkins, Jones and Sheen again, with the addition of Roy Eldridge on trumpet and George Duvivier on bass. Poll Winners. 2010.
