Synopsis

Album Description
Originally released by United Artists in 1971, this is the first time Colin Scot has seen CD release. The Eclectic definitive re-issue is re-mastered from the original recording tapes and includes four previously unreleased bonus tracks. On this forgotten gem, Colin Scot was joined by an unbelievable array of talented friends, including Robert Fripp, Peter Gabriel, Rick Wakeman, Peter Hammill, Jon Anderson, Brinsley Schwarz, Phil Collins and Davey Johnstone, amongst others. Some on the UK folk scene felt that the presence of such musical heavyweights on the album clouded the essential beauty and simplicity of the songs but others disagreed, marvelling at the sheer weight of talent lining up to help out, with financial reward low on their list of priorities. As Rick Wakeman says: He was a great songwriter and allowed the musicians freedom to add colour to his work, something I know all of us who had the pleasure of working with him enjoyed.

"I recorded almost 3/4's of this album off a memphis underground radio station in the mid 70's, based on the guest that were on it. Listened to the cassette often and alot back then. Tried on many occasions to find the album back then, hell no one had ever heard of this recording. Still have the cassette somewhere, abandoned the cassette 15 20 yrs ago. I was so happy to see and find this recording, ordered from amazon, got in today, so glad to have back in my collection. This is a wonderful recording folks, some great musicians having fun from long ago. Good folk, rock, inspired music. well done even to todays standards, just reading the inside notes, thanks to all who revieved this work of art."
